The wig, wig, wiggle, wiggle, waggle o' the kilt

A Scottie Walk you say? Now?
Did I hear you say "Scottie Walk"? Better get up then.
We are all waiting ...
We walked through the Green Point Urban Park towards the lighthouse where we normally meet Gordon and David and Luna,
past some large footprints that smelled like Rock Monsters who had escaped from the mountain during the night and came down to the sea.
Then we came across Mac and Abigail in their special doggy pushchairs,
with Irene and Snippie and Pam,
and Estea with a toy Scottie called Fergus who is travelling the world.
Laddie found a friend who rather fancied him for a change. Yuk! Soppy dogs.
It was a lovely day and we wiggled and waggled our kilts along the promenade while para-gliders fell from the sky.
Lots of peeps were in the sea but every beach we came to said "NO DOGS ALLOWED!" I was sad as I just love to dip my hot tummy into the cold cold sea.
There was lots happening as we walked past,
and lots of new puppies to meet. This is Scott the puppy, with Dougal and his Jack Russell brother called Luigi (I think).
Jock at the foot of the Pink Poodle/Piddle bench.
And is this another puppy? No, its just Fergus. (Read all about this Scotty toy with itchy feet here.)
We also met Tessa who is Haggis's new sister.
And Harvey found a friend too. They played and chased and ran crazily for a few minutes,
then Harvey came back to the Scotty Walk for more attention. What a crazy dog he is.
Can we have a piddle on the Pink Poodle/Piddle bench pleeeez. Harvey is asking.
But, like most fun things, the answer was NO!. But we had a lovely walk even though we were hot and tired when we went home to find the Alph had returned from his ride, also hot but not too tired.

Sitting under tables - and a Scottie walk.

We had a good weekend starting with a walk in the vineyards on a rather hot Saturday - which included a swim in the muddy dam and a wild goose-chase.
Then we had to sit under the table with a bowl of water while the Food Lady and the Alf ate burgers and drank beer with Jamie and Harry from Edinburgh.
On Sunday morning we went on a Scottie walk in Sea Point.
It was very hot and Harvey and I were happy to find a muddy puddle with some lovely cool water to roll in.
There were lots of water breaks - but I was really only interested in snack breaks. This is Estie with Irene and Wally and Snippie.
It was lovely having Harvey joining us - and here we all are at the Rhinosaur.
But I (and some others) only had eyes for the snack lady.
Kirby caught a Frisbee - and Maggie May took it away from him -
and his mom took it away from Maggie May and gave it back to the people who were playing a complicated game with frisbees.
Laddie joined in the Frisbee hunt.
Harvey met a friend of his from the Vredehoek dog park - Lulu. She is on the right with her humans.
He also made several new scottie friends - even though he pulled tongues at one or two of the cheeky ones.
And here is my absolute favourite new human best amazing friend - the snack lady! Thank you - you restore my faith in humans. I love you.
This is Ollie - an honorary Scottie for the walks. A real gentleman.
The two skelms - Lad and Maggie May - going about their random business. Just look at those crazy tails!
Laddie's girlfriend Blair with her humans. Laddie just can't keep his nose off her - its quite embarrassing.
While Maggie-May and Kirby explored the promenade,
Laddie found a French Bulldog to square up with -
showing off in front of his pretty sister!
We then sat under the table again while Harvey and the humans got to sit at the table and drink Cointreau fizzes and eat bacon and egg, well, Harvery didn't exactly do any eating or drinking ...
It was nice to see Olivia who waitresses at La Vie restaurant.
We then went home and had some fun digging for moles,
and chasing squirrels in the delicious sunshine while the Food Lady went out with Jamie and Harry.
Wishful thinking!

Pink poodles and other bling

Sunday morning and two hopeful idiots.
We were in luck. After dropping Wyndham off at his conference at the Waterfront, we went for a stroll along the beach at Mouille Point.
Things looked promising,
and we even bumped into another Scottie in a pink jacket. But she wasn't too friendly although her Basset brother was super happy to see us.
After a beach walk, we emerged onto the promenade where there are some interesting arty benches,
a red and white striped lighthouse,
a little train behind a fence,
some kayakers,
good smells and views of Lions Head and Signal Hill,
and although we were not allowed back onto the beach here,
there was plenty to keep us busy. You can tell how posh this place is by the bling jogging shoes.
We had to try out this blingy pink poodle bench!
And Harvey really wanted a photo of himself with these giant sunglasses.
So the Food Lady obliged.
Harvey also loved these young chaps, but Lad was more interested in their dogs.
Then we fetched Wyndham and went to visit Penny and her elegant dog, Luna. Laddie was smitten. And so was Harvey. As you can see, I was completely uninterested and could only think of my lunch waiting for me at home.
So we took a group photo and said cheerio to the gorgeous Penny and the beautiful Luna in their stylish digs and took Wyndham to the airport.
Then home to food, barking at geese on the roof, and some paw-up.
