Our last morning at Tamboti, and we saw a Side-striped Jackal walking in the river bed in front of our tent.
Kerryn made some rolls for lunch,
the Alf packed up our hired car,
and Simon disposed of his old shoes. Luckily he had bought some new Tsonga shoes in Dullstroom.
A very handsome young Bateleur, which was appropriate because our next camp is Bateleur Bushveld Camp right up in the north of Kruger.
Tea at Timbavati - a great place to stop and, as the signs say, "alight from your vehicle at your own risk". The risk paid off.
We stopped on the bridge at Olifants River,
and saw some elephants.
Simon seems to have lost his new shoes!
Stocking up in Mopane camp.
Progress was slow - with zebra crossing
and elephants crossing.
But we eventually got to our truly wonderful, amazing and fabulous hut at Bateleur Bushveld Camp!
Time to start the fire,
open some appropriate wine to unwind with,
and get the supper started.
Pap, sous and boerewors. Mnnyymm.
Then off to bed. Sorry to hear that you are having such wet and horrible weather while we are having such perfect warm and sunny weather. Life is not fair!
Anyway, Coco, be good and don't drive Leticia crazy with all your barking.
love from the Food Lady.
